Children’s Theater

Clara entered the world of theater in 2018 at the invitation of the Grant Avenue Follies. They needed an actor for their murder mystery play, and Clara was ready for some new adventures. The positive feedback from the audience in her first performances ignited Clara’s desire to form a children theater at Clarion Performing Arts Center, where she is the lead teacher. From one class of six students in 2021, Clara now teaches 4 classes with a total of 32 students. To date, the children have performed in neighborhood street fairs and festivals, a Salesforce’s cultural event, Ferry Building’s Chinese New Year Celebration and Westlake Shopping Center’s Christmas Fair.

Death of 3 Composers and Snacking Kids Rap were performed on November 12, 2023
at Clarion Performing Arts Center.

Snacking Kids Rap the music video was launched on October 14, 2023.

Three students came up with the theme and the plot of this play. It was performed on May 14 & 15, 2022.

Neil Armstrong at the Moon Palace honors the legendary Chinese moon residents and the upcoming tenth anniversary of the passing of Neil Armstrong (2012-2022), the first astronaut on the moon. September 21, 2021.

The Piano is a fantasy-adventure theatrical play based on Clara Hsu’s knowledge and experience as a piano teacher and a child growing up in her father’s piano factory in Hong Kong. October 11, 2020.

Love on the Magpie Bridge is Clara Hsu’s first play based on a Chinese legend.
It was performed at Clarion Performing Arts Center on August 7, 9 & 10, 2019.
